My experience at 511 Enterprises was one filled with disappointment and frustration. From the beginning, I found that the company culture was heavily influenced by the religious beliefs of its leadership, with religious messages and practices being pushed on employees in a way that made many of us uncomfortable. This created a hostile work environment for those who did not share the same beliefs as the company's leaders. In addition to this, the company's management had a highly controlling attitude, monitoring employees' every move in a way that felt like we were being treated like children in a daycare center. This level of surveillance made it difficult for employees to trust the management and had a negative impact on the overall morale of the company. Furthermore, the company used religion as a means of manipulation and control, with managers threatening to invoke religious beliefs as a way to retain employees who were thinking of leaving. This was a highly unethical and unprofessional practice that caused many of us to feel trapped in our jobs. Throughout my time at the company, I also witnessed a pattern of broken promises, with management frequently promising raises and promotions that were never delivered. The company also lied to clients about employees’ qualifications and experience, which had a detrimental effect on employees' reputation. The compensation at 511 Enterprises was also well below industry standards, with a salary that was 40% lower than the market average for the position. Additionally, the company did not offer commissions or any other incentive-based compensation, which made it difficult for employees to feel motivated to work hard and achieve sales targets. Despite promises of growth and development, there was little opportunity for advancement within the company, with only one person being promoted during my time there. The company also promised a hybrid work model, but in reality, employees were required to be in the office at all times, which was highly restrictive and did not allow for a good work-life balance. Overall, my experience at 511 Enterprises was deeply disillusioning, and I would strongly advise anyone considering working for the company to approach with caution. The company culture was toxic, the management was unethical and controlling, and there were numerous broken promises that made it difficult to feel motivated or fulfilled in the workplace.
