Pros
Before starting, I had never worked in such a large organisation before. Was worried it would feel too corporate, but this was not the case. There are regular socials and the team are all great. The work is challenging. Support and mentorship is there to help you get up to speed.
Cons
Because the databases have been designed long before I started and by many different people, some not even database professionals, it is in quite a state. 5 or 6 different naming conventions, styles, some tables without Primary Keys. I could go on, but it's not the fault of those there currently - they're just working with the hand they've been dealt. I feel like I want to standardise everything, but if I do, then the reporting team's reports will break and all hell would break loose.
