Pros

Flexible hours, nice people and support staff.

Cons

Clients can cancel at the last minute without penalty. Lots of unpaid additional work is expected after each lesson. Very low pay relative to what you are expected to do. Lack of accountability. Lately, they have been failing to communicate changes to staff and customers until after they've been made and people start complaining, which means teachers have been caught out without warning and have to deal with the loss of income and reputation as a result. Losing confidence in what was once a really great organisation.

Pros

Adult students, mainly French, followed by Italians and Spaniards from large companies in Europe. Consistent flow of students, with slots filling up quickly Pay is, well, below competitive level as of 2025.

Cons

They have started spying on teachers by launching a "secret student" program to measure quality. They don't care about students' reviews (you could have the best ratings - above 4.8 stars - but if the secret student deems you didn't follow their outdated and standardised programme, you'll be warned and potentially terminate your contract). Extremely outdated and convoluted teachers' portal – like it was built in the 90s by a garage nerd. They removed bonuses and haven't changed the pay in over 6 years, despite massive inflation post-Covid. They have started cheaping out on hires from the Philippines and other cheap labour countries, and if you live in a "poorer" country, they try to pay you less. Don't try to be yourself too much or change the material of a specific lesson because it's boring or outdated or uninteresting for the student; otherwise, you'll definitely know about it.
