Pros

- Stable working hours (most people leave before 6) - Free carpark (good) - Berjaya Card with staff discount for many restaurants - Located inside shopping mall

Cons

- Slightly old fashioned - Average employee age on the high side, you are fresh graduate expecting a fun environment, you may feel out of place. They are mostly rushing home at 5.30pm for family commitments. - Most of the bosses from different departments tend to micro-manage. Meaning to say, they would monitor and track your working hours, check if you had skipped work, rather than solely focusing on your work quality. This, to me is a old fashioned style management, as they placed strong focus on unimportant details, indicating lack of trust in employees that feels like back in school. For example, if you request to work from home or take an emergency leave due to urgent issues, the bosses show lack of empathy here and would question your absence to the very core, resulting in more demotivation among employees. - Promotion opporunity seems unattractive. Employees that perform up to standard are stuck at the senior executive for a decade here (10 years, not even assistant manager yet).

Pros

Pay. Benefits. Parking. Colleagues (not senior management)

Cons

Constant criticism even though you work 24/7 (not 7 eleven) Nothing accepted to be pro-active to inspire change, Always reactive. Security issues that turn into your fault. Senior Management never accept accountability. Losing managers all the time that know how to influence change for the better but are held under the thumb because it does not align with Senior managers wanting a nice bonus for cutting costs due to... A massively delayed IPO. Do not join 7 eleven if you want a career. You will become their excuse. My job description was changed in an HR meeting after 12 weeks. Now on-call 24/7 and from Hybrid to being told to be in 5 days a week for a stupid reason (missed a single email). PM me for details. Do not join this place. Benefits do not kick in for 60 days. Even then I had to fight to get my family covered for over a month. 7 Eleven are losing money. Went through a huge RIF due to perpetually delayed IPO. No one held accountable except normal people supporting their families. Closed hundreds of stores. Google it and you will find the truth.
