Pros

When I was hired I was offered $13 an hour, part time. With a $1,000 bonus after 1,000 hours worked. The second shift (afternoons/evenings to 10 pm or later) for my college schedule well. They reward hard work with more hours and a flexible schedule. Easy to make friends on the dock.

Cons

If you work hard, they only expect more of you. I was quadrupling or quintupling production goals regularly, though they only wanted more out of me. I would be stuck working later to help close the shift, missing out on some Friday nights. I would make sacrifices to help the shift run smoothly and was rarely rewarded for it. If one person slacks off and ruins production numbers, the whole team gets reprimanded.

Pros

- The HR team was incredibly supportive, collaborative, and enjoyable to work with - Built many meaningful relationships and lifelong professional connections during my time with the company - Leadership and ownership demonstrate a strong commitment to employees and company culture - Pyle offers very competitive benefits and a solid 401(k) program - My decision to leave was solely due to relocating out of state for personal reasons, not because of the company itself

Cons

- The role can become somewhat repetitive and cyclical over time - The hiring process requires managing a high volume of moving pieces and constant information flow, demanding strong organization and attention to detail - Mondays can be especially long due to leading and facilitating New Hire Orientation sessions
