Pros

+ I worked with some AMAZING colleagues + Being able to working 100% remote (though there aren’t many 100% remote positions there now)

Cons

- I was essentially lied to about my job. I applied to another position but got an offer for a different position and was told I would still be able to do the job I applied to and then would eventually add on the responsibilities of the job they offered. That never happened. It worked out fine overall, but I didn’t like that they lied to me during the job offer about what my job was going to be. - Pay is not competitive, benefits are very expensive, and merit increases are a joke. Your “merit increase” is really more a cost of living increase, but you won't really see it because you’ll be paying more for benefits each year. Advice: you better ask for well above your offer because you’ll never see anything substantial. If you’re remote, make sure they set up your taxes correctly or you’ll end up paying a return during tax time. - ACA’s behind on the times in certain areas, such as technology (ex. using Office 2016 and Skype). - Not all, but many in leadership don’t care about employee satisfaction and retention. It’s harder when it’s your direct supervisor who’s egotistic and sexist, and would rather hire someone from outside the company (who's a man) than give an employee on their team a promotion (who's a woman and has more experience) because they want another man on their team. - When you go to upper management about a discrimination issue or you find out you’re getting paid way below your pay grade or below someone else new to the company who’s in the same or lower position than you though you have more experience, management will find some way to justify it. HR is supposed to be a department where you can go to for support and guidance, but what’s more important to them is what’s best for the company, even if that means having employees be discriminated against, unsatisfied, and underpaid. This happens a lot in companies, but having worked in HR and seeing this up close made it difficult and unmotivating to do my job. Before I got a new boss, I would’ve gave ACA 3 stars. With the boss I had when I left, my rating drops due to witnessing discrimination on our team and nothing was done about it when it was brought to upper management.

Pros

if you build relationships internal you have a great chance in advancing in your career. The career paths are unlimited. you can start out on the phones making 12.00 hr and end up as a manager in data analytics making 102k annually

Cons

Its convenient but they will lowball you when negotiating pay if your an internal employee considering they already have insight on exactly what your getting paid now so they will consider you receiving a good pay jump from your last position instead of what the market if for the current position your are being promoted to. For example if your new position rand is 60k-90k the will start you off at 60k, knowing that you where making 42k. They will not negotiate, its a take it or leave it.
