Pros

Generous paid time off, including 3 weeks vacation to start. 40 hours of paid caregiving leave, 48 hours of paid community builder hours to use for volunteering, such as your child’s school or other non-profit organizations, and 3 personal holidays. Hybrid schedule for staff entails telecommuting on Mondays and Friday and in person on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Organization’s mission to help people live their best life as they age is admirable.

Cons

Not great at cultivating and keeping exceptional talent. Opportunities for growth and promotions is limited, though leadership has acknowledged this is an issue they have repeatedly heard from employees and they say they are are taking steps to improve in these areas.

Pros

I was able to take on multiple responsibilities, like research and volunteer engagement, with consideration of my time and workload from school.

Cons

At times, I felt like my work wasn’t as important or could’ve been done by my supervisors, especially when projects were close to completion, they would be altered but I understand it was for time efficiency.
