Pros

There are a few genuinely kind and supportive colleagues, and they help make the workplace more bearable. Many employees support one another through the challenges. Some are actively looking for better opportunities because of the work environment, while others have simply accepted the situation and no longer expect things to improve.

Cons

There seems to be a significant disconnect between top management and the realities faced by teachers and staff. Leadership often appears focused on creating an idealised vision, a "fairy tale world"/ “my world” where new initiatives and ambitious plans are constantly introduced. However, many employees struggle to see tangible results from these projects despite the resources/effort/ money invested. Meanwhile, staff continue to face stagnant salaries, no bonuses, and the loss of benefits and appreciation events such as the annual dinner. Instead of addressing the underlying issues, employees often feel that teachers and staff are blamed when expectations are not met, while leadership rarely takes accountability. The school has tremendous potential, but many employees feel that greater attention should be given to the practical challenges faced by those on the ground rather than pursuing unrealistic visions that do not translate into meaningful improvements

Pros

Flexibility. Lunch provided. Generally friendly staffs. End work at 4.30pm

Cons

1) Staffs might be friendly, but they will pass you around and around like a ball just to get 1 simple answer to the task you're handling. 2) Frequently changing of systems by higher management. At the end, lower level staffs are the one who have to face the brunt of transferring data and learning to use the new system. 3) Office hour might end at 4.30pm, but please expect meetings to be held after 4.30pm. Work might also continue after 4.30pm (for staffs that deals with parents/students) and on weekends if there are school events. 4) Salary wise, do ask for higher rate, because that will be your only salary until you actually move up to higher position. Do not expect any bonus or even increment! 5) Be ready to receive a memo of delay on salary payment too. So whoever wants to join this organisation, please ensure you have solid savings to cover your expenses because you never know when you'll receive such memo. They do love to drop the bomb at the last minute. 6) Overall, it's an ok place to work for short term, but not advisable for long term.
