You're in control of your schedule and choose what shifts you'd like. If you're comfortable working for a particular judge, you don't have to. The pay per case is great and the job is pretty easy. It's not a stressful job at all.

You may not get a shift at all. At one time I didn't get any work for an entire month so it doesn't feel stable.

The actual people who work at the OHO Nashville office are lovely and friendly.

There were so many issues with this position from the beginning. It took over 2 months for me to find out if I actually got the job and the onboarding “process” was about a month of twiddling my thumbs. Communication left something major to be desired. Phone calls will not be returned and oftentimes not answered, and the same goes for email. You waste more money in gas than you would be earning for each hearing. You could be in the office for an 8 hour day and only receive payment for less than 3 hours depending on if cases are cancelled or no one shows up. This company will also make you feel like you are inconveniencing them if you ever need to call out for sickness. The office I was sponsored at did not include me as an employee of social security, so I was often forgotten about and even locked into the building after hours. I was denied a convenient restroom or access to basic technology like a copier. Hourly pay is a generous way to say you could be paid for an hour trial. You often times only have contact information for Ace themselves, so you cannot efficiently communicate or even in contact with the people at your sponsored location. This is a waste of employee time, effort, and money. Beware.
