Pros

The most structured ABA company I’ve worked for. They are willing to work with you no matter what. They don’t want anyone to quit. You can request time off easily. Atleast when I was there.

Cons

They see their RBT’s as tools and set up a dynamic for caregivers to not care if their child has a contagious illness around us. We were required to wear masks around families but they weren’t required to wear them around us. That sets up the dynamic of “it’s ok if we get sick, we only care about your health but you don’t have to care about ours.” I got Covid from one of the Clients during this time. I eventually left this company as Clients consistently never called out when they were contagiously sick and I was consistently getting sick from them. When I got sick others living with me would get sick too and that felt awful. I got very sick on my birthday after working with a sick Client, when there was a special outing planned for me. It was very sad and disappointing. Caregivers don’t put two and two together and don’t realize that they made you sick and that’s why you called off and they get confused as to why you called out. When you bring up your concerns to management it gets downplayed or made to seem as if you just get sick easily and aren’t taking precautions. However I know this is a common problem in ABA, that RBT’s have. So many RBT’s complain about Client’s not cancelling when they are sick and most just quit but don’t bring it up to try to solve it first, which may be why ABA companies are unaware or don’t try to change this issue. They don’t realize most people actually have a huge issue with it. In work places like this they also encourage the idea that anyone who works with kids should be ok with getting sick a lot and that it is normal when you work with kids. In reality that should not be accepted as normal and their should be a policy to protect the health of RBT’s. You get a raise once a year and it isn’t as much as the next advertised hourly rate for new RBT’s. The raise should match the hourly rate being offered to new RBT’s online. This would create incentive to stay. This is as another one of the reasons why I left this company.

Pros

Team members were helpful and great to work with

Cons

Management. They’ve slowly started laying off multiple people and are relying on AI. They keep telling everyone not worry about their job which is difficult to do when they’re terminating everyone. Management does not care about you and you’ll be lucky to get a 50 cent raise once a year.
