Pros
My experience as an Assistant Manager in Project Management and Control within the renewable sector was highly positive. I had the opportunity to work on diverse solar projects, which helped me strengthen both my technical expertise and coordination skills. I was supported by experienced seniors and a collaborative team, making it easier to learn, take ownership of tasks, and grow professionally. The organization entrusted me with responsibilities such as site coordination, vendor follow-ups, and project reporting, which enhanced my problem-solving and leadership abilities. Overall, the supportive work environment, strong learning opportunities, and exposure to real-time project challenges made the experience both valuable and motivating.
Cons
One area of concern was the absence of a Work From Home (WFH) option. Even for responsibilities such as reporting, documentation, and coordination—which could be effectively managed remotely—physical presence was mandatory. This limited flexibility and at times affected work–life balance, particularly when on-site attendance was not essential. Introducing a hybrid or limited WFH policy could have enhanced productivity, efficiency, and overall employee satisfaction.
