Pros

My coworkers were nice. There used to be good time off benefits. They are no longer good. I cannot think of any other benefits.

Cons

1. Pay is extremely low, often 5-15k less than comparable roles in comparable nonprofits 2. Upper management is mistrusting of staff. Staff is generally considered guilty until proven innocent whenever any payroll/PTO/finance issues arise (payroll errors are FREQUENT) 3. Middle management is vastly undertrained in both the human side of their jobs (what the clients diagnoses mean for their health, etc) and the technological side (misusing databases, minimal understanding of HIPAA laws, no training on how to use current time card systems or remote platforms) 4. Lack of accountability from Supervisors when clients are dissatisfied with services 5. Minimal COVID precautions, many staff sharing offices and small spaces, holding groups in person in unventilated rooms with immunocompromised clients, limited flexibility for remote work 6. No from for professional development as trainings are seen as expensive and supervisors often have less education than front line staff 7. My exit interview was cancelled three times and never happened 8. After leaving, my benefits were not compensated correctly, being short by over half. After 120 days of attempted contacts, I filed a report with NYS, and decided to leave the fight behind.

Pros

Generous PTO, great agency atmosphere, hybrid work model, family first agency, C.O.O. and C.P.O. make a great team.

Cons

Contract funding makes pay lower than staff deserve.
