Pros

Growing firm / interesting mix of projects. Lots of aviation / community college work recently. Persons with good people and organization skill are rewarded with a lot of responsibility working closely with principals / senior managers. Results oriented management that is semi-successful in keeping workplace politics to a minimum, good benefits and flexible hours for those people that prove they are responsible.

Cons

Dealing with some growing pains - still getting standards established. If you are team player that likes wearing multiple hats this could be good place for you. If you are looking for a lot of existing structure and systems perhaps less so...

Pros

Great bosses that support their employees' goals. They believe in a culture of inclusivity and collaboration.

Cons

Could have better Revit library, but most companies struggle with this.

Pros

+ Fully remote + Unlimited PTO if you can manage to get it approved by management

Cons

If you have any value for your personal time, time with family, or anything outside of work, stay away from this company!!! AE3 Partners is consistently disrespectful towards its employees and crosses professional boundaries on a daily basis. Leadership is out of touch with the processes required to meet their client promises, leaving teams overworked with 10-15+ hours of overtime weekly. Suggestions for improving workflows are ignored, leaving employees to bear the burden of inefficient practices without support from management. Employees are routinely contacted during approved time off and expected to provide information or deliverables, disregarding any prior notice of unavailability. Even with advance notice of needing to sign off at a specific time, AE3 Partners will still demand availability. For instance, after informing management of a hard stop at 4 PM to attend my mother’s birthday, I was contacted at 4:01 PM with a demand to join a call with the principal and project manager, fully aware of my prior commitment. AE3 leaders are unprofessional and frequently badmouth clients and consultants behind their backs. There is also visible animosity and power struggles within leadership, creating an uncomfortable environment for employees who are left to witness and navigate this toxic dynamic. The pay is below industry standards, and the health benefits are minimal. There are no bonuses, and performance reviews are almost nonexistent. Despite working overtime regularly, I did not receive a single review or raise during my years at AE3 Partners. They advertise “unlimited PTO,” but rarely grant it in practice, and no time off requests are permitted in November or December. Judging by the timing of certain “positive” reviews, it seems likely that they were posted by upper management to falsely bolster AE3 Partners’ reputation. The turnover rate is extremely high, and no one outside of upper management has stayed more than five years. AE3 Partners is toxic, manipulative, and profoundly disrespectful. Avoid at all costs.
