Pros

Great initial opportunities to grow and learn Competitive salary Competitive benefits though they have find over the years Opportunity to work with a very sharp group of people In the early years I felt like a valued employee

Cons

American Express values shareholders Above All Else and as such they routinely layoff 1500 Sayers deficient, hardworking longtime employees in favor of hiring offshore Transformer enhance people's lives in recent years there has been more of a push for Speed to market the otherwise n quality It is difficult to maintain a work-life balance when workloads are never decreased despite very frequent staff reduction In the first three quarters of my employment I felt like a valued employee in many ways but recently and I'm not sure if it's just ultra and running early so I had to buy my own pens No respect for diverse styles and experience While some organizations do a really good job with employee development, some consider training and development even basic skills to be your problem and your responsibility There is absolutely no job security unless you work offshore in which case they will cater to you

Pros

-Collaborative people depending on which business unit you’re in -great work life balance

Cons

-The best leaders’ teams and most competitive teams require a lot of political play to get into -“take your career into your own hands” mentality rather than true investment in internal talent from the top down at times
