Pros
in my experience the pay was good and all my immediate coworkers were friendly and supportive. It was a good team.
Cons
Work work work! Constant tight deadlines. Sales was constantly promising we could deliver at an unreasonable pace. The whole time i was there it was constant deadline pressure from unreasonable deadlines... It was not expressly stated that you were expected to work more than 40 hours but if you did not you were not going to make your deadlines. The second thing is they put everyone on salary so no OT. Just work your 50 to 60 hours a week and get paid the same amount no matter how much you bust your butt. Finally there is next to no opportunity to be promoted from within. Less than a year after the investor buy out all executives at the VP level had been hired from outside the company and most of the senior managers as well. Promotion from within was almost unheard of.
