Pros
The workforce, pay, benefits and workplace are not bad (thanks to previous local management). The day to day job is not bad. Still surfing on the energy and good mood injected by previous local management.
Cons
Terrible, terrible upper management. More concerned about the bottom line and cramming more companies in the AFS portfolio to resell the whole thing than to keep employees happy/productive and customers satisfied. Upper management built of control freaks that won't consider anyone's opinion, whatever their expertise. To be sure, they surrounds themselves with equally incompetent people. Upper management meddles in and try to control everything including cell phone contracts, development, IT, meeting organization. They believe that any problem can easily be solved just by throwing a few more out-shored resources at it. HR are completely overwhelmed by all the rushed acquisitions and the accompanying bad decisions and make way too many mistakes. All aspects suffer: insurance, payroll, pension plans, tax receipts, travel bookings, expense reports... Everything has to be done twice and checked three times. Individual careers are a total non-concern, everyone is just a pawn.
