Pros

>>Benefits include: Supplemented healthcare (Med, Vis, Dental.) Vision and Dental cost little for an extra family member, but extra Medical is quite expensive. Supplemental Insurance options. >>Reimbursement for passed certifications. Annual-profit sharing bonuses. No interest employee loans. A tip-program where everyone gets 5$ worth of points to complement each other with. >>A 10 hour workday in exchange for every other Friday off. 7AM to 5PM with a rotation on-call. >>Plenty of free snacks, coffee, and other drinks. You do get input on what is ordered. Plus random entertainment around the office, like an arcade machine and a dart board. >>Positive and up-beat team with lots of experience and is a great environment to grow a career.

Cons

>Help-desk workflow is micromanaged, bottle-necked processes, restrictive self-planning, and it's flat out confusing in some cases. At one point they were using a whiteboard and sticky notes to track tickets instead of the expensive software... at an Information Technology MSP. >You will be expected to work extra-hard when it is busy (most of the time,) and shamed when you can't keep your effective bill-ability (how many hours they can bill the client for) up even if it's slow. >Lies. For example, we were told that a former employee (another commenter here) left to pursue greater opportunities. Her position was conveniently filled by a former founder’s wife shortly thereafter. >Wage Secrecy - even though it is federally illegal to tell you that you cannot discuss wages and you will not find this in the employee handbook. I found this out after learning I made a lot more per hour than someone who was expected to perform the same job as me. Everybody was verbally threatened with the "This is an At Will State'' speech and told not to do that. More lies. >Communication internally is generally awful. Plenty of times that feedback was offered, and nothing was done whatsoever. Oftentimes, I was just flat ignored. Once I even got anonymously shamed in front of everyone by the CEO for submitting perfectly valid concerns about the new review process. Even if my name was not used, it was not okay. >Employee Review Process for the help-desk is an arbitrary checklist of items which has very little to absolutely nothing to do with your performance or job. Each item then gets used to calculate your bonus at the end of the year, failing to complete one and you could lose up to 50% of your bonus. Theoretically, the worst and least profitable employee could get 100% and the hardest working employee could get 0% of the annual profit sharing bonus. Favoritism might be a factor, since the supervisor can decide to override any of the items at will.

Pros

Great work schedule. Benefits & quarterly bonuses were a plus! The owners were great!

Cons

Management allowed too many chiefs not enough Indians type of work place. Therefore, everyone that worked there basically got away with anything and just received a slap on the wrist, if even that. Was told in my interview they did annual raises, never seen one.
