Pros

- Flexible schedule. - Light workload [due to management's lack of knowledge and sense of direction]. - Friendly colleagues. - Free Snacks.

Cons

-Cheap company, Low pay, No real knowledge to gain. - The owner (management) knows almost no real tech, but thinks that he knows his stuff and interjects himself in every aspect of the works. Because of his position, no one dares to confront him. It makes it very difficult to work and be productive. We usually end up shoe horning his illogical dream projects w/o any results at the end. - The projects, goals v the team of engineer, budget, and the equipments are not even in a same plane. They want to spent next to nothing and become a fortune 500 company. - Most of the concepts (projects) are just for show and good for a short animation. No real work is done to build them. It can't be done, the knowledge and the expertise is just not there. - No senior engineer in the tech team to learn from, almost everyone is fresh out of college or an intern, and they too leave after a while. - I saw no career opportunities and room for advancement during my time.

Pros

Good holidays for Canada. good coworkers

Cons

- Employees are not valued. - Management love micromanaging everything, then miss deadlines and can't take responsibility for their own issues. The company is getting too large for this micromanagement. If you can't handle the workload, then utilize middle managers to manage it for you. - Management is very cheap, don't like to spend money on the tools that you need to get your work done. You can be relegated to utilizing free software for your projects. Poor benefits, poor insurance. - Teams in U.S. apparently only get very few holidays off.
