Pros

Flexible schedule (15 hour minimum for tutors, set your own schedule) Huge levels of professional support (many hours of training, easy access to people in leadership positions) Multiple opportunities to try new things - I started as an SAT tutor but moved into math tutoring to keep things interesting Great offices that are fully stocked with all the resources you need (including free drinks and snacks) Best starting wage I've seen (okay some companies will pay you a little more to drive around, but you make more when you can stack your sessions in one office) So much room for growth (company has expanded dramatically in the last few years and they only promote from within) Awesome company parties! The people here are so fun and smart! Committed to helping community (tutors can participate in volunteer excursions, teach pro bono classes, etc.)

Cons

Open 24/7 so even though you keep days off, it's sometimes hard to "turn off" (though not impossible - you learn to set clear boundaries with parents and students!) Hours are slightly shifted (weekdays after 2pm and weekends are most popular times for tutoring) Gaining students quickly is easier when you work in 2 offices, which can mean you have to drive back and forth a lot (although most of the time you don't drive more than 15 minutes between offices)
