Pros
My experience at ALDI as workstudent (but the work was not technical) was generally positive, particularly in terms of the compensation and benefits. The hourly wages were very competitive compared to other retailers, which made a significant difference. On top of that, ALDI offers great bonuses and other benefits, which added real value to the job. The scheduling was also flexible, allowing for a good work-life balance. Overall, if you're looking for a role that pays well and comes with solid perks, ALDI is a good place to consider.
Cons
During my time at ALDI, I experienced a significant imbalance in the workload, especially in the last months of my contract when the management changed. Despite putting in hard work and effort, I often found myself handling the bulk of the labor while others seemed to take it easy, almost as if they were just "walking in the park." This lack of teamwork and support from colleagues made the job incredibly stressful. To make matters worse, the new management appeared indifferent to these issues, creating an environment where hard work was not recognized or fairly distributed. It was disappointing to see such a lack of care and leadership, which ultimately led to a very negative experience.
