Terrible management - Anonymous employee ALS Global Employee Review

Management are inexperienced and lazy. If your face doesn’t fit you don’t progress. I have been a loyal member of staff going on 5 years and I have to continually push to progress and keep getting lame reasons why I cannot. Even though there has been instances of new staff progressing above senior members of staff with no technical experience. Case in point previous starter I trained with no science background or experience is now my team leader and I was advised that she was a stronger candidate, regardless of my science degree and over 10 years experience in other labs. She got the position based on the fact that she was friends with upper management and her face fit.
