ALS Global Response
7yThank you for taking the time to give your feedback, when the days goes fast that is usually a sign that the work is enjoyable!
I'm sorry to see the rotational roster wasn't to your liking, we try to make it as health friendly as possible but it won't suit everyone. The lead and silica you mention are strictly controlled from a HSE point of view including extraction methods and rigorous PPE including hooded respirators so the work is low risk when SOP's are followed. Summer is definitely the hardest part of working in Fire Assay but with the new air conditioning and water misting system, plus the respirator system that cools you through your hood, we are removing as much heat as we can. Career development is always an option at ALS from becoming a supervisor in Fire Assay to movement to other sections such as Geochemistry and Spectroscopy as proven by the many staff in those roles who have been promoted within ALS.
