Pros
The health insurance is pretty good and really cheap. Local managers tends to be great to work for. They know what needs to be done and how to let you do it. Also, if you need some personal time or other accommodations, they tend to go well above the call of duty! I
Cons
Pay is less than the competition. Don't expect to leave your position unless your dad is someone important in the company or you join the good ole boy network, which is really hard to do when you work remotely. If a new position is made, it is usually filled before the job is posted. They just go through the motions of letting people think they may have a chance. If you are good at your job, you will never do anything else. It's 2020 and we still have to mail in paper expense reports that usually don't get fully reimbursed because someone in accounting thinks she can do whatever she wants because the higher ups don't want to be bothered. Paperwork gets "lost" on a regular basis but no one in the upper echelon wants an electronic tracking system because they may have to hold accounting accountable... A good portion of the laptops need to be replaced but as long as they do the basic functions, they don't see a problem. Nevermind the fact that you can't interface with the machinery you are TRYING to repair!
