Free movie tickets, free popcorn and soda. Depending on your market it can be a very diverse and inclusive workplace.
Cons
Terrible customers, weirdly demanding physical labor, godawful pay, bizarrely political cabal making all the promotion decisions at management level - as in if you aren't already in with them you are not getting promoted. The company handled COVID extremely poorly, and rolled back the very few changes made to protect employees far too soon. MANY managers and supervisors were either summarily demoted (with a pay cut, loss of hours, loss of benefits) or fired from the company due to COVID. Film crew don't get benefits to begin with. You work nights, weekends, and holidays - so don't even hope to have a life outside of AMC. If someone else in your department leaves you'll get all their work and no additional compensation. At least half the years you won't get a raise at all. New hires may wind up making more than you.
