Pros

Work from home, yes thats about it! And dont let this fool u, they still require u to be in your office between hours of 8 and 5pm with no unexcused exceptions as u r given 15 to 20 mins to repsond to managements calls or emails(they give u desktops and not laptops even though u work in the field because they are cheap and they like to have control over Your every move And a desktop ensures that you will be in your office and nowhere else doing work). unfortunately this also means you are stuck in your office 60 to 70 hours a week if u want to stay half way caught up.

Cons

The company has gone through numerous changes...including upper management, i.e. executives, over last 5 or so years. With those changes, ironically they have decreased employee benefits and ultimately employee moral: 1. Decreased the max allowed for annual pay increases which were disgraceful to begin with. Some employees are told 1.5% pay raise is most anyone can get annually and others are told 2% and 2.5% and thats only if your work is perfect and your work will never be perfect, they make sure of that in the reviews they do of your files. You are not appreciated as an employee and that is clearly displayed in the way you are treated consistently as the attitude projected by management is that if u cant do the job and meet their expectations (both quality and quanity), there is many others out there that will...they have a professional way of showing their employees that they are completley disposable and the employees will be disposed of at their discretion if ur unable to keep up or if your just not a favirote by upper management. There's no work life balance and frankly this job does not care about your home life. Their motto or vision: Once you start working here, Amerisafe is your family and they expect you to put the job before your family or personal life. They terminate adjusters in busy state over terminating adjusters in less busy surrounding states. Little confused as to how I can work 60 to 70 hours a week as an exempt employee and still be required to take 2 hours of personal leave for an appointment and then when u run out of the 4 or 5 personal days given each year, u then have to use your vacation (which is only allowed to be taken in whole day or 8 hour increments) and then once u run out of personal time and vacation, u get docked pay for missing even just a few hours for an appointment. They change reimbursement policies frequently which appears to be a tactic to avoid or minimize the amount reimbursed to employees for lunches, tolls, hotels....work related expenses! Oh yes, and the best part.....well I hope you like sharing a hotel Room with a complete stranger because they will require you to share a Room with an adjuster from another region that u havent ever met or you have to pay for half the room charges. of course that only applies if you're a female as they dont require men to share hotel rooms with eachother. And the men still get reimbursed 100% of the hotel rooms. Health ins expensive and not worth the benefits 401k is laughable There is NO bonuses except for occasional xmas bonus of approx $100.

Cons

Prepare to pay a fortune for auto insurance and buy a new car. Terrible computer system and managers are bullies. No thank you! Oh and you better love DJT liberals need not apply!
