Pros
The have cash. They are hungry for new investments. They BUY cutting edge technology. If you are selling, this may be your place!
Cons
NO R&D. They don't design ANYTHING new! They buy companies, milk them until the technology is old, then cast them off. They are a "band of gypsies" with no particular goals in mind, other than surviving, and maintaining a stock value. They buy new companies with only immediate revenue in mind. NO investment in the future. This strategy appears to work, but it is not an exciting environment.
