Good communication with management - most have open door policy. Great benefits, including excellent vacation package, 401k matching contributions and health insurance plus many others.

Not to much to say - most every job has its pros and cons. Some negative people, but management was pretty good at getting rid of the dead weight.

Innovative products, an exciting industry, and excellent technical management make AMICAS an rewarding place to work. As a health care software vendor, the products are generally easily relatable yet are interesting and challenging to work on. Health benefits are fabulous and the engineering team is very talented and competent.

The stock is going nowhere and hasn't in some time making rewarded options essentially worthless. Product delivery cycles are generally tied to the yearly RSNA convention which occurs in late November and early December and therefore, the holiday season can be somewhat stressful and hectic with delivery crunch. The development cycle is documentation heavy as required by the FDA. Being one of the last remaining small vendors in the space, the future is somewhat unclear.
