Pros

Coming from a larger company, working at ARCOS has been a refreshing change. Management is very transparent and almost everyone I've worked with seems to live the company's core principles. Very little politics and everyone focused on putting customer success first. Flexible work/home balance with ability to work from home when needed. Generous PTO allowance from day 1 of employment, early dismissal before holidays, and competitive salaries are some of the excellent perks.

Cons

As with any growing company, change is sometimes hard. Implementing formal processes has been challenging, but most employees are starting to embrace them.

Thank you for the great feedback and I'm glad you are seeing the core values be lived out in ARCOS. Change is hard but change is inevitable at a growing company. Change includes formalizing processes that haven't had to be in place before. Keep embracing the change and formalizing processes. Thank you for being on our Team!

Pros

Remote work setup and contractor pay were competitive for the market. The work itself had potential to be interesting and challenging if the environment had been more supportive.

Cons

My experience was defined by a very unsupportive manager. As a new contractor, I received minimal onboarding and was expected to “hit the ground running” on complex tasks with almost no guidance. Requests for clarification were met with comments about not needing to “spoonfeed” me rather than actual support. Feedback was often vague and harsh instead of specific and constructive. I was told that I wasn’t thinking “critically” enough, but expectations for what “good” work looked like were never clearly laid out. There appeared to be a pattern of high turnover under this supervisor. In my short time there, it was clear that multiple people had cycled through the same role, which says a lot about the culture and leadership in that area. My contract was ended with language essentially saying I was unable to perform the job, despite my making good‑faith efforts, asking questions, and trying to understand their processes. There was no real opportunity for coaching or improvement—just abrupt termination.
