Pros

I felt the need to share my experience, especially since I read the former remarks from another applicant and just finished my second interview. To begin it's obvious from the former reviewer that they not only did not understand the business they were applying to, but they failed at selling themselves most likely due to lack of proper understanding and knowledge about the career. To begin I had my second interview and regardless of the outcome it was in no way a con, thankfully. In this day and age one can never be too careful, however to clarify for others based upon that former review it should be noted that everyone's employment in this industry is contingent upon the OMVIC which is a must anywhere. One can not legally sell cars as a business without the OMVIC. The OMVIC is not sold by ASC Dealer Group, but it is told to the employee that they need to obtain it in order to keep any offered position. From my own research - The ASC Dealer Group is a consultant company run by a gentleman with over 25 years in the industry and he is also an author. Mr. George is a pleasant man and knows a great deal about sales and his reputation is what brings him to dealerships as they seek his guidance in the recruitment process. So, my advice to the former reviewer, please do your research before attempting to enter a career and do not make assumptions, a few minutes to a few hours spent researching ASC Group and the owner Mr. George and you would've understood the dynamics of their involvement. ASC simply screens, but because of their skills they can help their clients (the dealerships) in choosing the right candidates. In this sector it is imperative to do ones research, not just on the career, but sales and also the vehicles and industry, to do otherwise is an injustice for yourself and will reveal itself in the very first interview. On a side note if one seeks great advice and training than Mr. George is a fantastic person to learn from and I hope to learn everything I can from him. Unlike the other person I did my research on everything ahead of time, thus leaving a truthful review and not risking a slanderous remark or wasting everyone's time in the process.

Cons

None that I can honestly think of. Since I had done my research I felt ahead of the game and was not surprised at anything.
