Pros

People are nice and supportive. Management is flexible and considerate with time - whether it is an emergency, an errand or personal matter. Employees can talk directly to top management. Employees are encouraged to speak up and share their ideas. Compared to a large enterprise, executives recognize the effort and contributions of the employees. It is a good company to start a career. The company advocates on giving people equal opportunity to a job – a chance to prove one’s capabilities. It does not matter if an applicant is a newcomer, a newly grad or a person with no “Canadian experience”. If the management believe that you are a good fit and capable, then you will most likely get the job. If you’re a back-end developer, you’ll become a full stack developer in no time.

Cons

There may be times that the company lacks adequate manpower/resource, but this is also true with other organizations – big or small. It is a cycle that all companies go through.

Pros

All you can drink coffee. Andrei and Sherri are good people.

Cons

Toxic work environment, the boss scheduled weekly meetings just to yell at people for his own insecurities. You will take on tasks that are not related to your role simply because its a small office. You will be expected to do great at your tasks that you didn't initially sign up for or else you will get yelled at. You are expected to stay for the full 8 hours. Full 8 hours, any time less is a talk with your manager. Any time more will not be reimbursed by the company. It likely has microphone recordings as well. You will need to time in and time out using their HRIT software and any time missing is deducted from your pay. The office is very draconian. There are 4 security cameras monitoring all the lowly peons in the middle of the office to ensure everyone is working and on task. There are tons of cameras to monitor employees because management doesn't trust their employees.

Over the last 32 years we have always asked employees to raise issues/concerns with their direct supervisor and we try to provide job enrichment by involving employees in tasks that are related to their core responsibilities so that they grow personally and professionally. Please contact your previous supervisor in Canada or the USA to discuss further.
