Pros

For a startup company, the work environment is good. - Flexible schedule. - Good work-life balance. - Good benefits. - Good amount of PTO. Everyone is friendly, and the workers are very smart and skilled. I enjoyed working for ASSIA very much.

Cons

Management is trying so desperately to make ASSIA a superstar company and go public. - The company spends too much money in various R&D projects. - Has new upper management almost yearly. - Does not give enough focus on their main product which is the company's main source of revenue. As a result, the company has had two major layoffs in the last year. The company has risked so much for stardom and has failed and now is doing everything they can from going belly-up.

Pros

Innovative and productive small company that quietly improves and stabilizes Internet connectivity globally. Products are creative, unique, and helpful.

Cons

ASSIA's customers are large internet service providers, with whom much patience is necessary.

Pros

The health benefits and HSA contribution are amazing, on par with the best companies in the Bay Area.

Cons

An old product which was ignored and was not expanded or built upon, as a result it has become obsolete, nobody needs it anymore. A couple of laughably mediocre new products that nobody wants. Poor management, extremely low morale, and dire financial strains. The worst people are put in charge of marketing, sales, product management and strategy planning whose only virtue is their servitude to the CEO and telling him what he wants to hear. Massive layoffs over the past year: almost 3/4 of the workforce were let go. The headquarter has become like a ghost town. ASSIA is now like a headless chicken: very unsuccessfully running around for mere survival. It's a shame that a company with so much potential, was destroyed to the ground by its incompetent leadership.
