Pros
Down to earth approachable principal engineers and owners. Everyone here is a mentor. They're really good at getting contracts right so you're not under the gun to get everything done 2 days ago. This a phenomenal place to learn and grow as a new engineer. AVI is one of the best places I have ever worked without a doubt and I would recommend it to anyone. The people here are honest, hard working, knowledgeable, respectful, down to earth mentors.
Cons
Nothing really. There may be some turn offs for some people... but you should figure that out pretty quick when you see the trophy elk, bison, and moose on the walls. It's a traditional work environment with people from Wyoming. When I worked there the pay was a little low but it was hourly and there was no real complaining about too much overtime as long as they could tell you were putting in work. On the other hand, if you're good, prove yourself, and you have the guts to bring it up then they will work with you on pay. If you would feel out of place with a bunch of white guys from Wyoming then it may not be the place for you. That being said, they're all good people and there is no doubt in my mind that you will be treated fairly.
