Pros

My colleagues and immediate team are great. We all have the same work ethics and we get things done efficiently. I wouldn't change the people I work with for anything in the world.

Cons

As of September 15th, we were told by HR and upper management that AbbVie will force employees back in the office, despite the recommendations from the government not to rush anything. Furthermore, AbbVie has not taken any stance on mandatory vaccination which I find not only unsafe but extremely unprofessional from a company in the pharma industry. Upper Management has made it clear that a flexible work environment does not include any option to work from home in the future as they want to capitalize on "hallway conversations". But all of this doesn't matter as I will be looking for an employer with a modern stance on what flexibility means.

Pros

I learned a lot while working this job. The systems like Veeva and Workfront were difficult to learn at first, but once I got the hang of them it was great. There were a lot of great people working around me that wanted to see me succeed.

Cons

Working as a contract worker had it's cons. At times, it felt like I was a little bit of an afterthought in the company with some superiors because I was not a full time employee. Communication suffered at times as well.
