Pros

Good benefits - have both pension and 401k

Cons

Upper management (Robert Ford) is totally against remote work even though many jobs were done very well remotely during the pandemic. They MAY approve only one day per week with approval from the VP level (and no remote work at all until they get around to reviewing your request), and absolutely will not approve more than one day per week and they can review every 90 days and cancel the arrangement. Policy now is even more restrictive than before the pandemic. Lots of good talent jumping ship and leaving remaining workers to pick up the slack. But if you live in Chicago they decided to pay for a spiffy new office in Willis Tower and then you can work away from your team and THAT is okay (so very clear it isn't really about being together, but just that they don't trust you at home). Very inconsistent that certain employees can work remotely (in a different office) from the rest of their group just based on where they live but the rest of us don't get that option. Sends a totally inconsistent message. No cost of living increase and now we can waste more money on gas and vehicle wear and tear to satisfy management delusions about togetherness.
