Pros

A great population of residents to work with, good work load, accommodating scheduling

Cons

Lack of training, unethical behaviors by ownership with expectations of these behaviors being carried out and implemented by case managers, lack of clear expectations within job description. Pay is awful with no room for growth unless you get a higher degree. Even then the standard coming from ownership is “we don’t give raises.” A lot of nepotism.

Pros

* Valuable experience working with children and families in vulnerable situations. * Opportunity to develop crisis intervention, case management, and advocacy skills. * Meaningful work that can be rewarding when clients make progress.

Cons

* High-stress work environment with consistently heavy demands. * Expectations regarding availability can create challenges with maintaining work-life balance, often feeling as though staff are expected to be on call at all times. * Unrealistic workload expectations and limited support for the volume of responsibilities assigned. * Leadership can be inconsistent, and some supervisors foster a negative workplace culture that impacts morale and employee retention.
