Pros
The salary is pretty good but not when compared to similar roles in the oil and gas industry in Aberdeen. Having moved from the Central Belt to work here my salary was markedly better. Offices are nice and well maintained but you will very likely need a car to get to work.
Cons
The work is usually pretty boring and there weren't many times I felt as though I could enjoy the Every day was a doom and gloom story about how the company was haemorrhaging money and people (even very recent hires) were being made redundant. This strikes me as strange that the company would go on a hiring spree, creating new divisions so shortly before making redundancies, smacks of bad management. Culture is strange and not overly welcoming. Some members of the senior management team are very grim and others are very big fans of themselves.
