Pros
- More demand for the product than the company can accommodate means that it has great growth potential - and it certainly has been growing
- Diverse, welcoming, and talented teammates
- Intentional remote work culture that values fairness, transparency, and inquiry
- Talented, driven leadership that looks out for its employees
- More flexible and generous share in equity than most startups (sliding scale system) for employees
- Good work/life balance that definitely values both high-velocity output and rest 'n recharge
- Work experience doesn't feel too hierarchical - and you can definitely feel like you can make a big impact no matter how junior you are
- Unlimited PTO (make of that what you will, though the culture here is quite accepting of taking time off as needed)
- Fairly generous monthly work-from-home stipend
- Pretty good medical benefits (medical /dental/vision)
- Biannual, funded retreats to different cities around the United States
Cons
- No 401(k) option, including matching
- Small engineering team means that there's more to do than we can take on, though that's a pretty universal problem, and it overall doesn't feel too hectic here
- Engineers and operations partners are quite separated, and the employee experience between the two departments may be different in certain respects as an FYI (e.g. higher turnover rates for operations partners)
- Salary adjustment and path to promotion is still a bit unclear, at least on engineering side
