Pros

Absolutely love working with the kids and providing them with a safe space.

Cons

Kids are nothing but a number . Staff favoritism which creates a toxic work culture amoung staff members. Measuring academies against one another when each academy is run so differently and has such different staffing. HR does not take care of its employees when there is an issue. Policy changes at the drop of a dime leaves staff exhausted and confused. Staff safety also does not seem to be a concern at all.

Pros

Win, Build, Send. We are helping the youth that others give up on, we are helping the youth that others look down on, we are helping the youth that others say will not make it. All places have their stuff, but the impact we make each day is a blessing, and the company takes care of its people. In 35 years of being in the workforce I have never worked for a company that values its people. 401K, massive PTO, Sick time, and so much kindness. You show up, do your job, communicate, have the right mindset this is the place for you.

Cons

Policies, and procedures are not in full that can cause a little chaos, and at times working with others, or being over stimulated can suck, but nothing terrible.

Pros

The work really matters, and you feel connected to it. Supporting GCs isn’t just part of the mission statement, it shows up in day-to-day decisions and in how people show up for the work. There’s a lot of trust here. You’re given room to do your job, share ideas, and take ownership without being micromanaged. Leadership is approachable and present, especially during times of change, and there’s a real openness to feedback and getting better together. The pace can be busy, but people care about the work and about each other, which makes it a supportive place to grow and feel proud of what you do.

Cons

The pace is fast, and priorities can shift as the organization grows. That can take some getting used to if you prefer a slower or more predictable environment. Communication is strong and leaders are approachable, which makes it easier to stay aligned, ask questions, and adapt as we continue to grow.
