Pros
The technology and the problems being solved are very interesting, and the work can be quite satisfying as you know that your work can be used to catch people who are doing bad things.
Cons
Management is just plain awful. Nobody knows what they are trying to accomplish long-term, and managers spend time trying to protect their own interests rather than working together to make things better. If a manager dares to stand up for doing things right, he or she is replaced. No projects longer than two weeks were accepted by management, meaning that nothing substantial can be undertaken in the interest of "agility" The executives fight among themselves and use employees as their pawns. The executives give as little information as they can to employees about what they are doing (usually less than they need). It feels like the wild west. If you have the ability and the desire to do something, you can, but you can bet other people will be there trying to do what they want. The strongest will usually wins. The benefits are bad, and kept getting much worse. Once they cut benefits significantly and then gave a few of us "valued employees" raises to offset the difference. This, however, shows that the company is too cheap to pay for good benefits for all of its employees. The time off is fine, although when you start it accrues quite slowly.
