      ✅ Great exposure to healthcare IT & BI solutions – The company works on large-scale state and federal healthcare analytics projects, providing excellent opportunities to work with cutting-edge technologies like Azure, Snowflake, Power BI, and SQL-based data warehousing. ✅ Strong leadership and mentorship opportunities – Senior leadership encourages growth, and I had the opportunity to mentor junior developers and lead architectural discussions that improved solution delivery. ✅ Emphasis on compliance & regulatory reporting – Acentra Health provides a structured environment for CMS-Federal & State reporting, ensuring that BI solutions adhere to industry standards and best practices. ✅ Diverse team & collaborative culture – Cross-functional teams work well together, and there's a strong emphasis on knowledge sharing, process optimization, and stakeholder engagement. ✅ Work-life balance & flexibility – While there are project deadlines, remote work options and flexible hours help maintain a good work-life balance.

      Cons

      ❌ Bureaucratic challenges in large-scale government projects – Since many projects are state and federal contracts, decision-making can be slow due to multiple approvals and compliance requirements. ❌ Limited innovation due to strict client requirements – The projects often follow rigid guidelines, limiting the ability to experiment with new BI tools and architectures beyond the set frameworks. ❌ Salary could be more competitive – While the benefits and work culture are great, the compensation is average compared to other BI consulting firms.

      Pros

      Supervisors are good at placating employees

      Cons

      For a mental health company, it is dangerous to force employees to work while sick and incapacitated because how can someone appropriately deal with suicidal clients when they are sick and not able to think clearly? No matter how good or bad your reviews are everyone gets the exact same merit based salary increase. Worst absence point system of any corporation I have ever seen. 2 points PER DAY for absences that are not pre-planned and approved. Meaning if you get sick and are in the hospital for 5 days with a doctors note you will still be placed on a final notice because you didn't request that week off more than 2 weeks in advance. Even if you have weeks of PTO saved up because you are normally dependable.
