Pros
-Development is swift and clear for new teachers especially, and more nuanced for veteran teachers -As a veteran teacher, I feel that my coach has helped me unlock the art of the craft and develop more fully as a professional -I am given everything I need (within reason) to help students learn--observations, books, supplies, time, etc. -The pay is very competitive, especially if you stick around for longer than a year, and there is opportunity to get promoted to a higher pay scale as a teacher without moving into administration
Cons
-It's true that the scales tip more to work than to life in this profession, but I find this network to be more thoughtful and reasonable than other networks I've worked at -Deans and administrators can be quite young and I'd prefer it if many of them would have had more classroom teaching experience before being in the position to coach others
