Wouldn’t recommend working here - Anonymous employee Aciron Consulting Employee Review

Pros

Starting out position to use for other opportunities

Cons

Dictator-like management as others have mentioned. CEO has no problem calling you out in front of others in the office and trying to make you feel small. Truly a toxic place to work where you’re constantly criticized and walking on egg shells, not a place for growth. Turn over is insanely high!

Pros

Your input is heard and you can significantly influence the company. An expanding industry and growing client base. CEO is always willing to listen and improve the business. My job is primarily project based so I more or less make my own hours. I leave to go to the gym in the middle of the day occasionally and it is completely acceptable as long as I stay on top of my work. No menial work for new hires. You will be handed a significant amount of responsibility within the first 6 months of employment. Opportunity to create consumer apps on the side.

Cons

Aciron does not have the hierarchy that attracts some people to larger businesses. Benefits and vacation days are not as extensive as I would prefer. This is a result of working in a project-based industry. This is not a 9-5 work culture, we work hard every week and there are days where you will have to put in long hours. I enjoy this aspect of Aciron but some of my friends would struggle with this. Before you apply to acrion reflect on whether or not you will be okay on putting in the extra hours from time to time.

Pros

It may sound cliche but I love coming into work everyday. The flexible schedule has allowed me to come in as early as I want which is key with my commute. Everyone in the office welcomes new employees with open arms and is willing to help with anything you need. The work day is filled with laughter and the office is always buzzing with new ideas. I love Aciron's innovative and collaborative culture because I learn something new every day. I am a new hire and I would highly recommend Aciron to anyone looking to join the team! Other pros include: -Flexible work environment (no set hours) -Fun company culture (office social activities) -Monthly team lunches (we are an office full of foodies!) -High level of autonomy (no one will micro-manage you) -Amazing location (right off MBTA red line, great shops and restaurants) -Collaborative work environment (asking for help is encouraged) -Everyone (including upper management) is open to new ideas -Positive work environment (constructive criticism is the only type of criticism given) -Great work/life balance (generous vacation and holiday allowance; flexible working hours) -Internal promotion (room for advancement) -Continually learning new things! -Meaningful tasks (no busy work for new hires)

Cons

Aciron is a small company and I can understand why it would not be a good fit for everyone. If you are looking for a highly structured corporate environment then Aciron is not for you. Salary is about average for an entry-level position.
