Pros

You get to help professionals advance their careers and you meet a lot of great people.

Cons

The great people you meet leave to work literally anywhere else. Working for this company was an exercise in enduring psychological torment. Micromanagement that suffocates you with its presence at all times of the day; the environment was so toxic that the turnover rate seemed like a badge of honor for those who managed to escape. The attendance policy favors leaders working from home whenever they like but not the rest of us. Working overtime without pay is a cruel mandatory expectation, the benefits were a mere mockery. Breakdowns were the norm. The absence of HR left us defenseless against the unchecked harassment and verbal berating from the leadership. What was truly disturbing was the perverse culture that applauded tears and considered mental breakdowns a sign of dedication – it was not just accepted but encouraged. This company thrived on the emotional exhaustion of its employees, fostering an environment where vulnerability was exploited rather than supported. It was a place where the toll on mental health was not just acknowledged; it was celebrated. Steer clear of this heartless workplace that revels in the suffering of its own workforce.

Pros

Flexible schedule Text based communication Remote Quick hiring process

Cons

Higher than minimum wage but still sort of low pay. Must ask for PTO available instead of being able to view it freely.

Pros

Got placed on a relevant assignment and the work itself was fine.

Cons

The recurring problem was that key terms of my engagement were never documented or communicated up front, and I only found out how things actually worked after a problem had already occurred. Two examples: PTO accrual terms were never put in writing or explained at the start. I only learned how my time off actually accrued halfway through a planned vacation — by which point it was too late to plan around it. As a contractor, I wasn't paid for certain company holidays, but I was never told in advance which holidays those were or how they'd affect my pay. I found out only when my paycheck came up short, and when I and the manager of the company I worked raised it the answer was essentially that nothing could be done. The pattern across the whole engagement was the same: I had to trace down every detail myself, usually only after something went wrong, instead of being given clear information at the outset. For anyone considering a contract here, get every policy — PTO accrual, holiday pay, pay schedule — in writing before you start.
