Pros

Free Membership as an employee. The members are great. These are the only reasons I would recommend anyone work there.

Cons

Management team is inept and refuses to take responsibility for the mistakes they make and blame employees. They hire the friends and family of one person they like so that a department ends up being all friends and family. This causes problems when a person who is not friends or family comes on board and resulted in me (and I am very good at my job) being harassed and targeted by mediocre, unhappy employees who were all friends and decided I was a "problem". They also neglect departments they do not value, refusing to get adequate supplies or equipment to properly do my job. It took me over a year to get business cards and a shirt that fit -- and that required me going to HR to complain about management. Pay is very low. Management plays favorites. Management (supposedly directed by corporate) wants you to go throughout the club and engage membership to help build your clientele, but only pay for 6 hours per week to do so. It is also difficult to engage anyone when there is nobody at the gym.

Pros

I’ve felt supported throughout my 10+ years here—both personally and professionally. I genuinely feel cared about, not just as an employee but as a person. I feel truly connected to my peers and enjoy working with the team. There is always room for growth and upward momentum—never a sense of being stuck. People are constantly promoted or given new opportunities to work on Training and education resources are offered constantly, which helps with ongoing development and career progression.

Cons

Honestly, not many—but with consistent growth and change, you do have to stay adaptable, but it comes from a place of growth and opportunity.
