Good - Software Engineer AdStuck Employee Review

I joined in 2012 and since Glassdoor doesn't allow to go beyond 2018 so I selected 2018 as last year of working. There are no pros to this company except that I got a vanilla flavor of coding experience for a mere 6 months.

Back in 2012, it was kind of a startup which was not even registered. A lot of internal politics and no vision to go anywhere. A lot of my ideas presented as their own by the senior to their seniors. Biased attitude of Director. I even found the message interactions of an employee with the ceo in which the employee was literally brown nosing and the ceo said that he will take care of him. That employee is still associated with the company. No clear policies were defined at that time. Even though you worked day and night, the attitude of senior management was pathetic. A lot of bogus marketers and sales person were hired whose only job was to say yes and run corporate politics. They hired two senior ios developers as my replacement and i knew more than them. I already got an idea that they would sack me anytime so I started looking for job and before they could sack me, I resigned. The best part was that after i resigned, they still sent me an email that i have been fired. Even after serving my notice period of 15 days, they still told me that I was absconding. They were so low and still are.

Product breadth, opportunity to develop and learn is huge. You can work in whatever you are interested in. There is a great website. Then there are high performance/scale services which are core part of business. Mostly smart people around. Compensation is competitive and great potential of stock is a silver-lining on the top of that. Just loving the company and work.

Sometimes work could be hectic but that's ok. Some managers are political & bad but many are good. Again few teams do not do great work but just operations or maintenance so be choosy.
