In several exemplary surgical subspecialties, senior and middle management allowed a hostile work environment, and subsequently lost well-respected career team members including physicians, physician assistants, nurses, and medical assistants, while preserving new physicians and physician assistants who are less qualified, rude, racist, demeaning and condescending to staff, colleagues and patients alike.
