Pros
Flexible scheduling around family events and appointments. Work autonomously and learn independence in nursing skills.
Cons
The management has changed many times over in the last several years. Upper management ignores pleas of staffing to lessen required weekly visit totals despite home health changes including sicker, more complicated patients and case loads and more involved documentation over the years that makes an 8 hour day turn into a 12 hour day/5 days a week. Your job is not done when you get home. Work from the time you get up until you go to bed. On call almost weekly and every 4-6th weekend. Poor on. Call pay. You get paid less money on your check to see extra patients because of pay scales and taxes. So no reward for hard work.
