Pros
- great culture, especially in the sharky world of private equity funds. this place is mostly filled with very smart, nice people who will vouch for you - respect for work/life balance. Of course in crunch times you are expected to step up but that is private equity
Cons
- in the last years they have started becoming more of a bulge bracket and less of a growth equity fund, and lost their edge especially in the exciting technology / growth plays because of their minimum $100m equity check requirement (which is really more like $200-$300 now) - very difficult to get promoted from associate all the way up, but again that is true at most funds
