Pros
Advent Health offers all benefits as soon as you start working. Also they offer PDO, set schedules, allows you to pick up shifts at different location (depending on if they allow you to pick up overtime). And there's space for growth. You get a 3% increase each year.
Cons
Advent Health Quote is "Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ" while for my department they require you to gather a certain amount a month per Consumer Access rep. Which seems more like their actual goal is to "extend their hands into your pocket", also if you don't collect close to their goal in that month there's write ups and if it continues it can lead to being fired. They'd also tell you that you're going to pick up a shift at a different location just because some other locations turn around rate was so high that they couldn't hold people long enough for their position. You'll also go through trying to move up to different branches of Advent Health. When trying to talk to higher ups or even have your director try to talk with corporate about certain positions open, they will either ignore you or brush you off. If you're not a yes man and question or put your foot down, then you're going to have a tough time here. I've had a previous director call my phone and threaten my job just because I wouldn't cover a location that I wasn't scheduled for. Also, this position has you working at the front desk at times checking in patients that are either very ill or injured being the first line of contact before they are diagnosed, which is what you sign up for when you get this position. But while keeping that in mind, you get 0 sick days. I've called out a day before because I was sick and was written up. I was even checked into the same ER I worked for and was still written up for not showing for my shift while my manager was alerted of how I feel. I've even come to work sick; all my coworkers would try stay away because I was still ill when I was in the middle of my 12 hours shift my boss tells me I can't be sent home early because that would be a right up since I'd be leaving half day.
