Pros

Children are great! Guests are fun to work with!

Cons

Managers that are kind and passionate about their work are often punished for it. Many managers in education cry frequently and openly due to the stress created by a toxic work environment. Managers that fall in line with executive leadership often refuse to allow education staff to be creative, preferring to make decisions on their own. Managers avoid being friends with staff members from lower pay grades because executive leadership strongly discourages it; this creates an uncomfortable system of hierarchy that makes other staff members feel they are not valued or appreciated if they are not a manager. Overall lack of communication across all departments in the organization. Education staff seem to avoid the Education Director at all costs. Department lacks organization, leadership, and a clear direction. Adequate training is not provided to staff upon hire.
